Due to recent milder temperatures, we had an unusual December harvest of Boone Hall Farms strawberries. That’s right. Strawberries in December. We sold almost 1000 qt. baskets of these delicious berries in three days at Boone Hall Farms Market to finish up 2015 and to welcome 2016. Once, cooler temperatures arrive, the crop for this year will be covered to protect the plants from the colder temperatures until warmer weather comes back around. It will most likely be a month or more before more berries come to harvest, but who knows. Stay tuned for updates.
