Boone Hall Farms is the agricultural arm of Boone Hall Plantation. Approximately 120 acres of the plantation is used to grow over 40 different kinds of crops throughout the spring, summer, and fall. We are told by the South Carolina Departemtn of Agriculture that is a wider variety than is grown on any other farm in the state. So while they are larger farms in the state, the variety grown here packs a powerful punch.
Our reputation and quality is such that our crops are featured and sold in a number of grocery stores across the Lowcountry and are also featured on the menus of some of the area’s finest restaurants.
We hope to break ground on a new Boone Hall Farms Market later this spring that will be built on Boone Hall property. In the interim, we will release more details about where our customers can purchase produce grown here until the new building is completed.
We take great pride in being a local farm owned and operated by people who live and work in the same communities you do. It is worth noting that studies show that $68 of every $100 spent at local businesses is reinvested back locally helping in those communities economic and social sustainability.
It’s a win win for everybody involved. Supporting local business…is good business.
